At 51, I’m navigating perimenopause myself.
Like many women, I thought I knew my body well. Then things began to change in ways I hadn’t expected. What struck me wasn’t simply the changes themselves, but how difficult it could be to find clear, credible answers about what was happening and why.
That curiosity became something more. I wanted to understand this transition properly - not only for myself, but so I could help other women understand it too.
My background in Communications and Media Studies from Skidmore College taught me how to take complex information and make it clear and accessible. I built on that foundation through further education at Harvard Medical School in Women’s Wellness (Menopause), Lifestyle and Wellness, Nutrition and Wellness, and Designing a Sustainable Nutrition Plan.
Today, I bring those two worlds together: evidence and communication. As a menopause educator and wellness guide, I translate what we know into practical, understandable information women can use in real life.
Hi, I’m Maryam Ali Khan.
How I see Midlife.
I see midlife as an opportunity to understand what our bodies need now - to support our brains, hearts and bones, build strength, nourish ourselves well and prioritise sleep.
My role is not to replace medical care. It is to help women understand their bodies, recognise the questions worth asking and feel more confident participating in decisions about their health.
This isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about taking care of the woman who is already here.
